SignUpSheet.page vs Cheddar Up

We make SignUpSheet.page, so we are not neutral. We have tried to be fair: every fact about Cheddar Up links to a source we checked on October 25, 2026, we say where Cheddar Up is the better choice, and we write “couldn’t verify” instead of guessing.

The short version
  • Cheddar Up is built for collecting money: payment pages with items, forms, sign-ups and waivers, card and eCheck payments, and a balance you withdraw to your bank.[1]
  • Its free plan allows up to 5 items per page. As we read its pricing table, card payments on the free plan cost 3.95% + $0.95, and payers cover fees by default.[1]
  • SignUpSheet.page is a sign-up tool first. Its chip-in lets people pay you through your own PayPal, Venmo or other apps with no fee from us.

Choose Cheddar Up if…

  • collecting money is the main job: dues, fees or several items on one page[1]
  • you need forms or waivers attached to the payment[1]
  • you want eCheck payments (paid plans) or unlimited managers (Team)[1]
  • you want a well-rated phone app[2]

Choose SignUpSheet.page if…

  • the money is part of something else: a gift with a group card, or a class party sign-up
  • you’d rather people pay you directly in apps they already use, with no platform fee
  • you don’t want to create an account
  • you collect in a currency other than US dollars (pledges work in 38 currencies)

Where Cheddar Up is better

  • Real payment collection. Several items per page, forms and waivers, card and eCheck payments, and a balance you withdraw to your bank.[1] Our chip-in is a pledge plus a way to pay you.
  • Fee options. Payers cover fees by default, but the organizer can change that.[1]
  • Tools for treasurers. The Team plan adds unlimited managers.[1]
  • A well-rated app. The iPhone app is rated 4.8 from about 3,800 ratings.[2]

Where SignUpSheet.page is different

  • No account, no balance to withdraw. Money sent through your own apps goes straight to you.
  • No fee from us on app payments. Those apps’ own fees, if any, still apply.
  • The money sits next to the sign-up or the card. One link for a class party sign-up and the costs, or a farewell card and the gift.
  • 15 languages, 38 currencies for pledges.

Questions

Does SignUpSheet.page charge fees?

No. People pay you through your own apps, and we never touch the money.

Can I sell several items, like T-shirts in different sizes?

No. A chip-in collects pledged amounts for one purpose. For several items, forms and waivers, Cheddar Up is the better tool.

Who sees who paid?

You do. Your organizer page lists who pledged, how much, and who marked themselves as paid, and you confirm when the money arrives. Other visitors see the total and, unless you hide names, who chipped in, but not amounts or who has paid.

Do payers need an account?

No, on either service. Cheddar Up payers can check out as guests;[1] on SignUpSheet.page nobody creates an account.

Is SignUpSheet.page affiliated with Cheddar Up?
